Running Clothing

Running is a very good type of sport and exercise. The smart way of running is by making sure every part of your body is protected from the possible injuries that the track or open road may bring to someone who is not smart enough to protect him or herself. Running clothing is important to ensure that performance is enhanced without sacrificing health.

Visors or sunglasses – Unless you opt to jog or run at night and you compete in tournaments in which the track and field competition is done at night, it is better to have a very good visor or pair of sunglasses ready so that your eyes are protected from the sun and its glare.

Upper Garment – It is important to wear an upper garment that is comfortable and made of a breathable material that keeps you from getting too hot or too cold while running. Some tops have long sleeves, others have short sleeves, and some have none at all. Tops can come in men’s and women’s designs.

Lower garment – Running shorts are one option for some people, while others prefer running pants or jogging pants, especially during chilly and cold mornings. Lower garments like shorts and pants are available in men’s and women’s designs and sizes.

Socks – Socks protect the feet from the possible injuries brought about by having the skin rubbed continuously and with pressure against the inner layer of a shoe. Blisters can result from this, and runners can avoid this risk and other injuries by wearing a clean pair of socks. A dirty pair of socks is just as dangerous as not wearing any socks at all. Instead of blisters, the runner puts him or herself in danger of getting fungal or bacterial problems in the feet, not to mention turning the feet into something malodorous simply because of the habit of wearing unclean socks.
